Tom was born and raised on the family farm at Beaverton. After graduation from Brock High School in 1969, entered the funeral service profession in Beaverton and graduated from Humber College as a licensed funeral director in 1971. After working at various funeral homes in Bracebridge, Barrie, Acton and Orillia returned to Beaverton in 1978 and opened Mangan Funeral Home in 1986.

Angela was born and raised in the City of Kawartha Lakes she graduated from Fenelon Falls Secondary School and continued on to Humber College to pursue her career as a funeral director. Angela resides in the City of Kawartha Lakes with her husband Ryan and their daughters Karlie and Dixee.
