Obituary for Brian Thomas CARLISLE

CARLISLE: Brian Thomas-May 7, 1942 – November 23, 2017 Brian passed away peacefully after a short battle with cancer at Markham Stouffville Hospital, in his 75th year. Brian is predeceased by his loving wife Janet, his parents Harry and Hetty. He will be dearly missed by his children, Michelle, Tracy (Dave), his granddaughter Magen, his sister’s Rita (Jim) and Marilyn (Peter), his brother’s Harry (Ailsa) and David, sister in law Anne, his nieces/nephews Louise, Julie (Brett), Christopher (Jen), Thomas (Rebecca), Michael (Sophie) and William (Yaz), and great nieces Jessica (Nick), Jordana and Rachel. He will be remembered and missed by many relatives, friends, and golf buddies. A Celebration of Brian’s Life will be held in the spring of 2018. If so desired, in memory of Brian donations may be made to either the Markham Stouffville Hospital Cancer Care Clinic or the Palliative Care Unit would be appreciated by the family.
Grief, I’ve learned, is really just love. It’s all the love you want to give but cannot. All of that unspent love gathers up in the corners of your eyes, the lump in your throat, and in that hollow part of your chest. Grief is just love with no place to go
