GORDON: BARBARA JOAN
July 17, 1936 - October 5, 2022
On October 5th 2022, Joan Has put on her Ballet Slippers and danced her way to the stars. A wife and a mother of 4, grandmother of 5, great grandmother of 5. She loved spending time with her family. Everyday was a adventure in her eyes. She always saw the positive side of every situation life sent her way. Joan was a very dedicated volunteer in her community regardless of where she was living. On behalf of the Government of Ontario she was awarded the Provincial Life Membership on having achieved the distinction of Leadership and Executive Service. Joan loved great conversation. She was happy to give advice and share her wisdom over a tall glass of Gin and Fresca with lots of ice. Her network of friends was undeniable, making new friends was easy and keeping old friends seemed effortless. She was a wise, strong, intelligent woman with a great sense of humour. Her life was truly a Highlight, she was living the dream. She will be missed by everyone that was lucky enough to know her. Mom, we Love you, Cheers
A celebration of life will be held at the Tar’d & Feather’d 378 Bay St. Beaverton on Saturday November 5th from 1-3 P.M. If so desired, memorial donations in memory of Joan to the Beaverton Public Library, or Story Book Farm Primate Sanctuary would be greatly appreciated by the family.
