The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Charles George BROWNELL can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Quintessential Gentleman

I first met Chuck in 1967 as a 17 year old summer student employee at the then WCB. It was my first real job & Chuck was welcoming, charming & funny. He continued to help me navigate office protocol when a few years later I went on to full time work with the Board. Back then the Board was like a big family that went the extra mile to help employees do a good job. Chuck certainly emulated this quality. We worked together for years in the Rehabilitation Division. Chuck was always willing to offer insight, advice & the benefit of his experience in case management. He & Gail hosted many wonderful staff parties that I know are fondly remembered by all that attended. I last saw Chuck at a wedding years ago where he was still the friendly, funny, outgoing gentleman that Ive always known. My sincerest condolences to Gail & his family.
