Dorthey passed away at Orillia Soldiers Memorial Hospital surrounded by family on Sunday September 19, 2021. Dorthey was the beloved wife of Bill Fountaine. Daughter of the late Ralph and Phylis Tilley. She will be dearly missed by her sisters June (Fred) Raby, Betty (late Peter) Mitchell, and Bonnie (Peter) Jubb.
Bill passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by family on Friday September 24, 2021. Bill was the beloved husband of the late Dorthey Fountaine. Son of the late Harmon and Annie. He will be dearly missed by his brothers and sisters, the late Bob (late Mary), late Shirley, late Buck (Joan), late Walter (Diane), late Jack (Joan), late Mary, Emily (late Peter), late Helen (Quinton), late Lenore (late Pat), Joanne (Art), late Linda (Jack), late James, late Carol. Bill and Dorthey were the cherished parents of Shane (Tina), Sherry McKibbon, Vicki (Gary) Rendering, Annie Lodwick, and Kim (Stewart) Johnston. Loved Nana to Whitney, Shane, Melissa, Kirstie, Bobby, Cameron, Danielle, Billy, Sydney, Kirkland, and Nicholas. Great-Nana to Kylie, Kurtis, Breanna, Hudson, Holden, Emersyn, Chloe, Henley, Emma-Lynn, Stella and RJ. They will be fondly remembered by their many nieces, nephews, and friends. Dorthey loved to dance, particularly clogging, playing baseball and the Blue Jays, knitting, curling, horseshoes, bingo, and Yahtzee. Bill loved hunting, fishing, the Montreal Canadians, tinkering in the workshop, meeting up with the boys for morning coffee. Bill worked for Brock Hydro for 30+ years. Bill and Dorthey were married for 61 years. It is safe to say they truly loved each other. A graveside service at Stone Church Cemetery will be held on Thursday September 30th at 2:00 P.M.
