Obituary for Douglas Clifton Benson

Douglas Clifton Benson, May 12th 1953 to November 12th 2022.
Friday night pizza and rock and roll. Long time "milk man" for Kawartha Dairy. Trailer life. Fishing, winter or summer. A cold beer on a hot day. Homemade chili. Snowmobiling. Four wheelerin'. Saturday night TV bingo and watching the Maple Leafs. Good with swear words. Big trucks and nice boats. Douglas Clifton Benson loved all of these things, but not as much as he loved his grandkids: Jax and Faith Allison. Aubrey and Aiden Shute. Cohen Benson. Oh, he loved his actual kids, too: Jared (Chandra Allison) and Shelby (Robert Shute) Benson. Predeceased by his brother, Jim Benson of Lindsay, Ontario. Survived by his mother, Anne Ellis, and sister, Catherine Hubers of Ottawa, Ontario. Doug passed away at home on Saturday November 12th at 69 years young in Woodville, Ontario. Some would say he was surprised by the Maple Leaf's win that evening, but we're not one to spread rumours. Cremated by Mangan Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will be planned and communicated in the future. We love you and miss you, Dad! You had better be haunting us, because we sure as heck weren't ready for you to go.
