PROPHET: Eric Clifton 1937 - 2022 On March 25, 2022, after a graceful and courageous journey through this life, we announce the peaceful passing of Eric Clifton Prophet in the presence of his cherished family. In his 85th year, Beloved husband of Judy Prophet. Adoring father of Clifton Prophet (Anne), Mary Lue Coote (Robin) and Jane Prophet (Scott). Cherished grandfather of Lauren, Fraser and Graham Prophet, Andrew and Christopher Coote, Lewis and Eryn Fleming. Loving Uncle to Joy and John Waldie as well as many nieces and nephews on the Nixon side. Predeceased by his three loving sisters Joy Edwards, Luella Prophet and Beryl Waldie. His unmatched human connection, and kindness will be forever missed in our own journeys. Cliff’s strong Christian faith and unwavering commitment to the purpose and presence of St. Andrew’s United Church was both a comfort and a calling for him. Cliff lived an abundant life of service in his beloved town of Beaverton with community and care at the heart of everything he did and was. As a career paramedic and compassionate caregiver Cliff’s light shone brilliantly for all in an unassuming way. His gift of conversation welcomed strangers, comforted friends and cemented relationships to last a lifetime. His humanity extended to a variety of walks and talks of life with genuine appreciation. This was especially true with children. The strength of his love for Judy and family will be remembered as truly remarkable and greatly missed. Dad was a gracious and tactful gentleman, adoring husband and father with remarkable personal integrity. Dad was genuinely interested and enthusiastic and an incredible role model who, above all, put his family first. He taught us to be strong, to be kind and always to be grateful. He showed us how to truly treasure the small things in life and to look for the sunny patches each day. A visitation will be held at the Mangan Funeral Home, 323 Osborne St. Beaverton Ontario on Monday March 28, from 7pm - 9 pm.
