Condolence: Sincere condolences to Gary and family. I really enjoyed getting to know Mary Jane over the years as a neighbour. Especially enjoyed our chats over the back fence the last few years. She seemed so excited about your move. Sorry she had so little time to enjoy the new place.

Condolence: Gary, we were so very saddened to hear of the passing of Mary Jane. Our sincere condolences go out to you and your family. Mary Jane was an awesome person, always smiling and cheerful, an "icon" in Beaverton. When I worked for Mary Jane in the 70's she always treated me well with kindness, caring and respect, as she did with all her employees. I last spoke to Mary Jane in December and she was excited about your move to Orillia, a new chapter in your lives. That chapter ended way too short. Rest in Peace Mary Jane, you will not be forgotten.

Condolence: Deepest condolences to Gary and his family. I was so saddened to hear of her loss. My earliest memories of my cousin, Mary Jane, go back to when we were kids. Every 24th of May weekend she would come up to Muskoka with her mom and dad and we would have the best fireworks blast ever; including the classic "burning of the schoolhouse" Then there were the fun times during the summer at the "old homestead" "across the lake" which was a perennial gathering place for family. I will always cherish those times. Rest in Peace.

Condolence: Dear Gary, Todd, Christina and families, I am so sorry to hear of Mary Jane's passing. Mary Jane (with Gary riding shotgun) was my first and best ever boss when she hired me as a waitress at the Beaver Restaurant in the '80's, along with many other girls. She was fiercely protective and maternal of her staff and we were all 'her girls' from day 1. She was so indulgent of all our teenage girl shenanigans while instilling a solid work ethic. She knew all the regulars and her girls families by name and continued to keep in touch with 'her girls' as they grew up and established their families. She was also generous to share her family with her girls and chatting with Gary and the kids was a regular event. I hope that the many memories will help during this difficult time and wish you all the best. I will so miss catching up with Mary Jane in the local stores and am so grateful to have had such an amazing mentor. Lots of love.

Condolence: Gary, My thoughts are with you at this tough time. Mary Jane and I have a 35-year history, even back to the days when she worked in the office at Bayshore Village. We would swap stories of her time there, and then through curling and golf. I remember being so hungry out on the curling ice that we even tried to convince ourselves that we would eat a pickled egg! Every spring I plant the four-o’clocks that I got from her, so now she will always be with me. I will miss my friend. My condolences to you and your family.
