Mike passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family.
He will be greatly missed by his beloved wife Lynne, daughters Lucile (John), Marianne and Mary (Bill), his sister Diana (Bernard), brother Peter (Val), sister in laws Bonnie and Cathy, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Mike's many friends know of his love of water and he was able to be boating up and down the Trent with Lynne on their boat 'C - Otter' until his death.
His favourite quote from "The Wind in the Willows": 'there is nothing - absolutely nothing - half so much worth doing as simply messing around in boats.'
