Obituary for Paul Laidlaw

It is with sadness the family of Paul Laidlaw, 78, of Moncton, and formerly of Beaverton, ON announce his passing at The Moncton Hospital on Friday, July 14, 2023. Born in Toronto, ON he was the son of the late Myron and Muriel Laidlaw.
Paul was goalie for Beaverton, ON, Old Timers hockey team for years. He curled all over ON with a superteam. And what a dancer he was! In retirement his main interests were sailing The Prowler and wood carving. Paul was one of the good husbands and family men. As his best friend said “if there ever was a better man in the world, I’ve never met him”
Thank you to Tammy and Graham and Jennifer his wife, for loving and supporting us through this hard time. I miss you Paul.
Paul will be sadly missed by his loving wife, Wendy Laidlaw (nee Marriott); his children, Tammy Doughty and Graham Laidlaw; grandchildren, Cherie, Ella, Aurora and Van; great granddaughter, Hazel; as well as his extended family and friends.
In keeping with Paul’s wishes there will be no visitation hours or funeral service. Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (506-858-1995) have been entrusted with arrangements. In memory of Paul, memorial contributions to The Canadian Cancer Society or a Memorial of Choice would be appreciated. Online condolences for the family may be shared on the Fergusons Funeral Home Facebook Page, www.fergusonsfuneralhome.com or manganfuneralhome.com
