It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of William Terrence Clayton (Terry Clayton), on September 2nd, 2022. Terry passed away peacefully surrounded by his wife and children at Southlake Regional Health Centre. Born August 3rd, 1949, Terry was the son of the late Lawrence Clayton and Edith Clayton (McCuaig). He was the beloved husband of Penny (Johnston) for 47 years, and the devoted father of; Christine of Fenelon Falls, Debbie Vandenakker (Paul) of Gamebridge, and Ryan (Kelly) of Vennachar. He will be deeply missed by his grandchildren; Emma and Clayre Bradimore, Leah and Parker Vandenakker, and Abigail, Evelyn, McKenzie, Samantha and Vivian Clayton, predeceased by his granddaughter Isabella. He will also be missed by his many nieces and nephews. He is survived by his brothers; Larry of Beaverton, Brad (Margaret) of Whitby, Fred (Bonnie) of Bracebridge, his sister Jo-Ann Harriss (Tom) of Beaverton, his sister-in-law Debbie Tanner of Beaverton, his brothers-in-law Bruce Johnston (Donna) of Minden Hills and Ron Johnston (Heather) of Beaverton.

Terry will be remembered for his immeasurable contribution and dedication to the community, both as a volunteer and a passionate politician. He strongly believed that volunteerism is the heart of the community. Visitation will be held at the Beacan Presbyterian Church, Beaverton on Thursday September 8th from 2-4 P.M. & 7-9 P.M. Funeral service will be held at the Beacan Presbyterian Church, Beaverton on Friday September 9th at 11 A.M. Interment Stone Church Cemetery, Beaverton.
