Obituary for Roy Davidson McGIBBON

McGIBBON: Roy Davidson – at Soldier’s Memorial Hospital, Orillia at the age of 94 on July 7, 2017. Served in the Canadian Navy in WW2 then following the war joined the Toronto Fire Department. Retired from the Fire Dept. after a 39 year career retiring as District Chief. He enjoyed fishing, golf and tennis. Survived by his loving wife Madeline, his daughter Patricia (Jim) Tucker, daughter-in-law Nancy McGibbon and seven grandchildren Mark (“Pina”), Karen (James), Christie (Brian), Jeff, Brad (Carol), Jennifer, Mike and great-granddaughter Olivia. Survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his former wife Marjorie, son John, sister Jean Woodhouse, brothers Jim, George, Frank and Donald. Family and friends will be received at the Mangan Funeral Home, Beaverton on Tuesday, July 11, 2017 from 2 PM to 4 PM.
