COWIE: Mary Rita - at Soldiers Memorial Hospital, Orillia on Saturday, September 2, 2017. Rita (McCarthy) Cowie was the beloved wife of Earl Cowie of Woodville. Dear mother of Patricia (Wade Rettie) of Kinmount, Dale (Heidi) of Washago, Ronnie of Woodville and the late Paul. Survived by her grandchildren Gregory (Elizabeth), Kyle, Allen, Darrien, Drew, and great-grandchildren Teagan and Rorie. Daughter of the late Charles and Mary (Foley) McCarthy. Sister of Ken, Donnie, Theresa Bedford, Barbara Eastcott, Beth and predeceased by Cathy Ward, Tim, Charles, Dennis, Gerald and Lawrence. Survived by many nieces and nephews. There will be no visitation or funeral service. Cremation with interment of cremated remains at St. Andrew’s Cemetery, Brechin. If so desired, memorial donations in memory of Rita to the St. Andrew’s Catholic Church Restoration Fund would be greatly appreciated by the family.
