Aili Matilda Liljelund (nee Ahlfors) passed away peacefully at Lakeview Manor, Beaverton, Ontario, on December 31, 2015, at the age of 100. Born in Espoo, Finland on February 21, 1915, beloved wife of Ralph Johan Herman Liljelund (pre-deceased 1978 in Sudbury, Ontario), she will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her three children, Patricia, Fred and Diana, her daughter-in-law, Julie, her grandson, Michael, as well as numerous cherished relatives and friends in Finland, Canada and the United States. A family graveside service will be held at Parklawn Cemetery in Sudbury on Thursday, January 14, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. Friends are welcome.
