Miss McMillan was my teacher at West Ward school in Orillia and was also the teacher of my friend Anne Orman (nee Burton). Both Anne and I were extremely shy and were not friends with anybody including each other. Miss McMillan decided to get us together and introduce us to each other. This was the beginning of a life long (until this day) friendship. Maybe at some point, we may have become friends on our own but because of Miss McMillan (Mrs. Clark after she got married), we became really good friends then. I always credit Miss McMillan for this relationship and would like to say that these were the qualities that made her an excellent teacher who was truly loved and respected by her students. I'm so sorry for the family's loss.
