Obituary

GOLDE: Jeffrey – It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jeffrey Golde, age 71, on Monday, September 21, 2020 at Lakeridge Health Oshawa. Jeffrey passed peacefully in his sleep. His loving wife, Lois was constantly by his side during his illness.
Jeffrey was devoted to the love of his life, Lois, and she was devoted to him. They celebrated their 20th wedding anniversary on June 29th. Loving father to Christopher (Adrienne) and Rebecca. Proud grandad of Carissa, Aiden and Nyla. Loyal brother to his twin brother, Stephen (Vicki), of Arizona and remembered by his older brother, Roger (Mavis), of Spain. Remembered fondly by Lois’ family members, neighbours, and numerous friends, as well as members of the North Shore Amateur Radio Club, East Enders Car Club, Rolls Royce Owners and Enthusiasts Club, Ontario MGT Register, colleagues of the Ontario Science Centre, and Hearth Place. A private service, by invitation only, for family and close friends was held at the Beacan Presbyterian Church in Beaverton, ON, on Friday September 25, 2020 at 2 PM followed by committal at the South Eldon Cemetery. Attendance was greatly restricted due to the COVID outbreak and we appreciate your understanding and observance of these restrictions. If so desired memorial donations in memory of Jeffrey to the Hearth Place would be greatly appreciated by the family. Online condolences are welcomed at www.manganfuneralhome.com

It is with deep sadness to hear of the passing of your beloved Husband Jeffery. I recall Jeffery helping dear Rev. Fairley with good deeds at Nestleton Presbyterian Church, and how he enjoyed attending with you every Sunday. Sincere sympathy Lois.

Our sincere condolence on the loss of such a great individual. Jeff was a very enthusiastic member of the Ontario MGT Register. It was only a short time ago that he was giving me advice on trouble shooting problems with my TD; with his help I managed to get the 'old girl' running smoothly once again. A great loss to us all. Sympathy to Lois and the rest of his family.

On behalf of the Upper Canada Region of RROC, we were very saddened to learn of Jeffrey’s passing and wish to extend our condolences to you, Lois and all of your family.

Many of our members came to know Jeffery through the various events of our car club that he attended. Jeffrey was well regarded for his excellent technical skills for repairing car parts, speedometers, clocks and much more. Certainly, many of our members benefited from his expertise.

Jeffrey was also known for his passion for cars. We remember one car event in particular, where we were seated with Jeffrey and Lois for lunch. Jeffrey told us that he had converted his living room into a garage...Then Jeffrey met Lois… Like magic, the garage once again became a living room! All told by Jeffrey with humour and affection for Lois.

Jeffrey will be missed by all of us who had the pleasure of meeting him.

Sincerely,

Margaret Jones, Chair
Upper Canada Region,
Rolls Royce Owners Club
