The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Mary Agnes HAY can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Condolence: I was very saddened to read of 'Cap' passing. She was a very influential person in my life. I was a girl guide and a ranger under cap.Memories and lessons of those years will never leave me.

Condolence: Our family and the Gray family were long-time friends of Mary. Mary met Marjorie Cooper and Anne Sweetman in Guides and they stayed life-long friends till Marj and Anne passed away respectively.

Unfortunately, I didn’t see the funeral notice and missed Mary’s funeral mass. Mary had asked me to sing “Ave Maria” by Schubert at her funeral. I truly hope to attend the Beaverton celebration of Mary’s wonderful life.

Condolence: My deepest condolences to all of you on your loss. Pat Hay was such a great influence in my life. She taught me at St. Patrick's school in Toronto through very important formative years in grade 6, 7 and 8.
She was the person who brought me into girl guiding and was my girl guide leader for about five years. She loved all of her students as if we were her children. She taught us respect for ourselves and others. She gave us a love for music and a love for life. She kept in touch with all of us and with me even after my husband's passing in 2016. She was loved. She inspired us. She made us great people. May her soul and the souls of all of our faithful departed through the mercy of God rest in peace.

Condolence: Our condolences. We personally did not know Mary Agnes Hay but after reading her booklet yesterday, we have a lovely perspective of her. Our son in law asked us to help sort through a big box of family documents he inherited from his mother as two years ago we did some research on his family’s ancestry. Included was Pat’s wonderful life story, a 98-page, booklet titled Remembering, that she completed in 2003. It is so well written & in such detail, we want to ensure there is a copy with the family she was closest too. Regards, Ev
